TDP govt to develop Ramayapatnam port

CM will lay stone for it in 45 days, says MLA

The TDP government is committed to developing a sea port at Ramayapatnam, said TDP Prakasam district unit president and Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhana Rao.

“In the first phase, Rs. 4,500 cr. will be spent on the port with four berths,” he told the media here on Sunday. Instead of waiting for the Centre, which had meted out a raw deal to the State on various counts, Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu had cleared the proposal to set up a non-major port to begin with and none should doubt the sincerity of the State government. The foundation stone for the port would be laid by the Chief Minister in the next 45 days.
