THE Alliance announces changes to Transpacific-East Coast services

THE Alliance (THEA), comprising Hapag-Lloyd, HMM, Yang Ming and Ocean Network Express (ONE), has decided to make changes to the Transpacific-East Coast Network.

The container alliance will suspend EC4 service from the 46th week of the year and revise the existing EC1, EC2 and EC5 services.

According to THE Alliance, these adjustments aim to provide customers a frequent and comprehensive service coverage, while the effective sailings will be announced shortly.

The updated EC1 service will now include a Xiamen port call with its port rotation being as follows:

Kaohsiung (Taiwan) – (new) Xiamen (China) – Yantian (China) –Yangshan (Shanghai)– Ningbo (China) – Pusan (South Korea) – (Panama-US) – Manzanillo (Mexico) – New York (US) – Norfolk (US) – Charleston (South Carolina) – Savannah (Georgia) – Manzanillo – (Panama) – Rodman (Panama) – Kaohsiung

The updated EC2 service will have the following port rotation, with the addition of Yantian port call:

Qingdao (China) – (new) Yantian (China) – Ningbo (China) – Yangshan (China) – Pusan (South Korea) – (Panama) – Cartagena (Colombia) – Savannah (US) – Charleston (US) – Wilmington (US) – Norfolk (US) – Cartagena (Colombia) – (Panama) – Pusan – Qingdao

Furthermore, EC5 service will now call at the ports of Charleston and New York with the following port rotation:

Laem Chabang (Thailand) – Cai Mep (Vietnam) – Singapore – Colombo (Sri Lanka) – (Suez-Egypt) – Halifax (US) – New York (US) – Norfolk (US) – Savannah (US) – Jacksonville (US) – (new) Charleston (US) – (new) New York– Halifax – (Suez) – Jebel Ali (UAE) – Singapore – Laem Chabang
