THE Alliance changes Asia to Transpacific-West Coast network

Container shipping alliance of Hapag-Lloyd, Yang Ming, Ocean Network Express (ONE) and HMM, THE Alliance has announced changes to the Asia to Transpacific-West Coast network.

THE Alliance will temporarily suspend the PS5 service and will update the existing PS3, PS6 and PS7 services, effective from August until further notice.

The PS3 service will be enhanced with port of Tokyo call and the port rotation will be Nhava Sheva (India) – Pipavav (India) – Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Port Kelang (Malaysia) – Singapore – Cai Mep (Vietnam) – Haiphong (Vietnam) – Yantian (China) – Los Angeles/Long Beach (US) – Oakland (US) – Tokyo (Japan) – Pusan (South Korea) – Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Shekou (China) – Singapore – Port Kelang – Nhava Sheva.

Additionally, THE Alliance will add a port call at Shanghai to the PS6 service, while the port of Pusan will be removed from the service rotation. The updated PS6 service port rotation will be as follows:

Qingdao (China) – Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Los Angeles/Long Beach (US) – Oakland (US) – Kobe (Japan) – Qingdao

Moreover, the PS7 service will be strengthened with Pusan call. The service’s port rotation will be Singapore – Laem Chabang (Thailand) – Cai Mep (Vietnam) – Hong Kong – Yantian (China) – Pusan (South Korea) – Los Angeles/Long Beach (US) – Oakland (US) – Hong Kong – Singapore.
