THE Alliance revises rotations of Transpacific services

North America’s northwest coast continues to experience port congestion with vessel delays. This is the reason that effective from August, Transpacific services of THE Alliance, comprising Hapag-Lloyd, Ocean Network Express (ONE), Yang Ming and HMM, will have port adjustments.

These changes will apply from the 33rd to the 37th week of the year for the alliance’s Pacific North Loop 2 and 3 services.

The Pacific North Loop 2 (PN2) service, starting with YM TipTop sailing from Singapore, will skip the port of Vancouver in Canada and at the same time will add a call at the port of Shanghai in China.

During the same period, PN3 and PN4 services will provide alternative freight scheduling solutions to and from Vancouver.

The reason Shanghai is being added temporarily is to expand connectivity options in Asia via THE Alliance’s PN2, PN3 and PN4 services.

Pacific North Loop 3 (PN3), starting with Seaspan Beacon sailing from Hong Kong, will have no vessel calls at the Port of Tacoma in the United States. The alliance’s customers will have the option of routing their cargo from Tacoma via PN2 and PN4 services.

Finally, westbound calls to Tokyo and Kobe in Japan will be transferred from the PN2 to the PN3 service.
