Wan Hai has established express customs clearance for goods purchased through e-commerce at its terminal in Kaohsiung Port’s Wharf 63.
The Taiwanese liner operator, primarily an intra-Asia specialist, cited the growing volume of e-commerce as the Covid-19 pandemic pushed more people to stay home. Wan Hai processed its first batch of express cargoes, of more than 500 packages, on 17 May.
“Having operated a container terminal in Kaohsiung Port for more than 30 years, we’re optimistic about the growth of online shopping. Having express clearance enables us to provide a one-stop service and fast logistics,” said the carrier.
