Wan Hai opens new office in India

Taiwanese ocean carrier Wan Hai Lines established a new office in Kolkata, India on 17 July.

The company has now six offices in the country, in Mumbai, Chennai, Mundra, Vizag, Delhi and Kolkata.

Wan Hai believes that enhancing its presence in India could help increase service ties between India and neighbouring countries, such as Nepal and Bhutan.

The container carrier said that with the opening of a new office in India, it aims to further improve service quality and gain a stronger foothold in the Indian sub-continent.

Wan Hai India Kolkata office held a grand opening ceremony on the evening of 27 July having invited representatives from Kolkata Port Authority, Kolkata terminal operators, feeder operators and important local customers.
