WEC Lines invests in new container units

Dutch shipping company WEC Lines has announced the addition of 200 brand new 20ft High-Cube Pallet-Wide containers and 200 45ft High-Cube Pallet-Wide containers to its container fleet.

These new container investments follow just briefly after WEC Lines has only recently replaced 60 40ft 9’6” High-Cube Pallet-Wide containers as well as entering the refrigerated container market with 50 brand new 45ft High-Cube Pallet-Wide reefer container units. A second batch of the 45ft reefer containers has already been ordered following a successful market entry.

Roeland Woudenberg, Equipment Manager WEC Lines, commented, “These investments support our continued expansion and fleet modernisation to ensure WEC Lines’ service not only meets, but surpasses client expectations. The new additions to our fleet will further enhance our service offerings.”

The first batch of 20ft containers will arrive this month while the 45ft containers have already arrived in Rotterdam. Both will be included in the company’s short sea rotations.
