WeFreight appoints new global head of finance

WeFreight, a fast-growing freight forwarder with a digital focus on serving customers both large and small with a full range of products and services, announced the recent appointment of Jai Sankar Viswanathan as the new global head of finance.

With a track record spanning over three decades in finance within the logistics and supply chain industry, Jai Sankar Viswanathan brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to his role at WeFreight.

He has held significant leadership positions throughout his career, serving as general manager of finance at Volta Shipping Services, head of finance, compliance & legal at DSV, and GM of finance for the MEA region at A.P. Moller-Maersk.

His extensive experience in corporate and operational finance, coupled with hands-on involvement in legal oversight, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, positions him as an ideal candidate to lead WeFreight’s financial strategy.
