WiseTech Global takes over Australian GTM solution provider

WiseTech Global, developer of the CargoWise logistics platform, has announced an agreement to acquire BSM Global, an Australian-based provider of global trade management (GTM) solutions.

Founded in 2003 by Robert Flemming, BSM operates across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United States. Its GTM solutions enable exporters and importers to manage contracts, financial arrangements, and commercial dealings with trading partners while generating essential international trade documents.

Moreover, the platform also helps supply chain managers plan and execute global transactions, automating data transfer between stakeholders, logistics providers, customers, and government entities. BSM integrates with major ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics.

BSM’s offerings will join the WiseTech suite of trade, transport, and logistics products, while its customers will retain access to current solutions and support. The leadership of BSM will continue under Jason Flemming.

Vlad Bilanovsky, CEO of WiseTech Global, commented: “When I first met Robert Flemming, the founder of BSM, several years ago, I was impressed with his vision, passion and drive to facilitate global trade by automating contract, logistics and operational processes within the international supply chain. This aligns with WiseTech’s relentless focus on automating logistics execution. BSM brings a proven solution for GTM as well as a team with extremely deep domain knowledge in global trade, transport and logistics.”

BSM Global CEO, Jason Flemming, mentioned: “Joining WiseTech Global provides a new level of scale and resources to continue my father’s vision to grow and enhance BSM’s GTM solutions globally, and invest in its ongoing innovation as part of the WiseTech ecosystem. It also expands the career opportunities for our employees as part of the leading global logistics technology company.”
