World Transport Overseas opens new office in China

World Transport Overseas (WTO) China has announced the opening of a new office in Chongqing in southwestern China.

The new office of the Bulgaria-headquartered freight forwarding company is operational as of today (30 July) and will be the third one in China.

WTO said that Chongqing is a strategic location for them, as it is a major modernised manufacturing base, a financial centre and an international transport hub in Western China. Geographically, Chongqing is strategically positioned as a gateway to China’s west, a key connection in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and a strategic base for China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

World Transport Overseas in Chongqing is handling rail shipments and transportation in inland ports, while the new office will offer sea and air transport, as well as all other logistics services on the local market.

Currently, WTO has more than 260 employees in 23 locations across 11 countries worldwide.
