Tonia Luykx, renowned for her success in scaling software as a service (SaaS) and tech businesses such as Sift, Google, Dropbox, and Amazon, has assumed the role of chief revenue officer at Xeneta, the ocean and air freight rate benchmarking and intelligence platform based in Oslo, Norway.
According to a statement, tasked with propelling revenue growth through an industry data revolution, Luykx aims to leverage her expertise to navigate the global logistics landscape.
Xeneta’s platform utilizes over 400 million crowdsourced data points, enabling real-time benchmarking of rates for both buyers and sellers in the ocean and air freight markets. The industry has faced several challenges, from the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to recent issues like drought in the Panama Canal and conflicts in the Red Sea impacting the Suez Canal.
In response to these turbulent times, Luykx advocates for a shift in the industry’s approach, emphasizing the transformative potential of data and machine learning. According to her vision, embracing these technologies will not only address current challenges but also pave the way for a more efficient and resilient future for global supply chains.
