The logistics service provider XSTAFF GmbH will open a new location in Hamburg, Germany on 1 January 2023, taking account of the continuous growth of recent years.
According to XSTAFF, the new premises are located directly on the Elbe River, in the immediate vicinity of the Port of Hamburg. The new location will be managed by Antonios Rigalos, a member of the executive board and chief growth officer of XSTAFF.
In addition, parts of the procurement & operations business unit will be co-supported from this location.
Bodo Knop, chairman of the board of XSTAFF GmbH, commented, “If we want
to continue our successful development of recent years, we need to move even closer to the international markets and, above all, their key players. Against this background, Hamburg as the leading logistics location in Northern Europe with its highly developed port was our first choice.”
XSTAFF said that as early as 2021, more than 100,000 TEUs of cargo volumes were moved for the first time through the company’s own network, which now includes more than 50 service providers and partners.
“In order to be able to continue to provide our services at a quantitatively and qualitatively high level, we must of course continually adapt the structural framework conditions accordingly. From this point of view, the opening of the Hamburg site is ultimately only the logical consequence of the developments of recent years,” explains Antonios Rigalos.
The company noted it has built up additional competencies beyond its core competence of sea freight, especially in the areas of air transport and rail, and has developed innovative solutions.
“Our customers will of course be able to call on this logistical know-how across all modes of transport from the Hamburg location in the future. For this reason, too, the opening of the office in Hamburg is certainly a milestone in the company’s development, from which our members, in particular, will benefit enormously as users,” stated Rigalos.
