Yang Ming releases YM Mandate recovery schedule

Yang Ming has published an updated schedule for its 10 years old container ship, YM Mandate, which suffered an oil spill incident at the port of New York and New Jersey.

The vessel is expected to depart from New York on 18 October, after completion of repairs to its leaking fuel tank, arriving at its next port of call in Savannah two days later.

Further US calls at Jacksonville and Norfolk will be followed by its final North American stop in Halifax, Canada, departing for Jebel Ali on 16 November. All dates are estimated and are subject to change, said the Taiwan carrier.

Once the fuel oil leak was spotted, the vessel was de-bunkered and the 6,572TEU boxship is now under repair at the port, according to the latest update from vessel operator Yang Ming.

The Taiwanese shipping company has released the following tentative recovery schedule.
