Yusen Logistics relocates head office in Japan

Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd. will relocate its headquarters in Japan in May of this year with the aim of streamlining its headquarters and improving productivity.

Yusen Logistics says in its announcement that they have formulated four core components under the Long-Term Vision “TRANSFORM 2025″ in order to achieve their Mission defined in the Group Management Philosophy of ” To become the world’s preferred supply chain logistics company.”

The company will streamline the Japanese headquarters, by consolidating of headquarters functions that had previously been divided by three floors into one floor. The aim is to achieve GLOBAL UNITY “A company with solid foundations to deliver consistently and competitively in every corner of the world.”, one of its four core components, and firmly establish a solid foundation for building a “One Yusen Logistics” for the future.

At the same time, by integrating office floors, Yusen Logistics will facilitate communication between employees across organizational affiliations, thereby realizing effective information sharing and enhancing its ability to generate innovation, which in turn will lead to improvements in the productivity of each and every employee.

In the new office, the logistics giant says that it will expand its choice of workplaces by promoting non-territorial offices and remote office usage. “In addition to eliminating large-scale conference rooms and expanding small-scale shared areas, we will create spaces where creativity can be raised by creating a variety of forms, such as setting up study seats that can be used for concentration by individuals,” Yusen Logistics adds in its announcement. “We are also striving to promote the use of telecommuting and paperless work, and employees are working to create a comfortable working environment by themselves.”

According to the statement, Yusen Logistics will further strengthen its business foundation in order to realize “TRANSFORM 2025.” At the same time, it will strive to create rewarding workplaces not only at the Head Office but also at other sites, so that all employees who support the foundation of the company’s business activities can continue to demonstrate their full potential and take on challenges.
