ZIM announces new service linking South-East Asia with Australia

ZIM, based in Haifa, Israel, launches a new service today (1 February) connecting major ports in South-East Asia and Australia, including the port of Fremantle in Western Australia.

ZIM’s new product, Thailand Fremantle Express service (TFX), aims to provide wider coverage in the region.

The port rotation of the new service will be as follows:

Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) – Laem Chabang (Thailand) – Port Klang (Malaysia) – Sydney (Australia) – Melbourne (Australia) – Fremantle (Australia) – Port Klang – Ho Chi Minh

“This new expanded product in Oceana will offer customers wider port coverage in the region,” stated Danny Hoffmann, executive vice president of ZIM’s Intra Asia Business Unit.

The new service is expected to increase the coverage of the Australian market and provide an efficient and dependable alternative, with substantial benefits like a direct connection between Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Fremantle, according to the company’s announcement.

ZIM considers it important to have a broader presence in South-East Asian markets, with connections via Port Kelang, Laem Chabang, and Ho Chi Minh.
