ZPMC’s latest tech cranes on the way to Singapore

The Chinese heavy-duty equipment manufacturer Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (ZPMC) has announced that four dual-trolley automated quayside container gantry cranes  are on the way to TUAS PSA Singapore.

The general cargo ship Zhenhua 26 sailed out of ZPMC’s Shanghai manufacturing centre on 25 September loaded with the first batch of four quayside cranes.

The Chinese company will deliver 20 units automated gantry cranes for the TUAS PSA Singapore project, and a further 56 units of automated rail gantry cranes (ARMG) in total, increasing ZPMC’s market presence in Singapore.

Since 1994, ZPMC has successfully delivered more than 300 units of port machinery to Singapore.

By adopting innovations, such as a new generation of a secondary trolley system and the intelligent-based automatic crane control system, the dual-trolley automated QC is now smarter and more efficient, according to the Chinese company.

Meanwhile, the speed of the main trolley can reach 270m/m, and the secondary trolley, 130m/m, said ZMPC in its announcement.

“With smarter and faster cranes, we believe that our customer TUAS PSA Singapore will surely have prosperous business in the future,” added the Shanghai-based manufacturer.
